Hanged Valentine Donovan 'Valen'
It was with a measure of relief that she took his response; it meant two things. One, there was some promise in this deal after all, and two, this hadn't been a wasted trip.
Oh, and they weren't going to possibly get killed.
Sarcastic inner monologue born of insult aside, she nodded her head and spoke once again. "Badlands, a place few besides the strong would dare to make their stay in, perhaps similar to this frozen tundra Aquilonia has chosen, within that right. Our Queen and her escort are not far behind us so your trip shouldn't take you very far from your pride. "

Altair II "Frostblade" Frigus
The frosty colored hellion made his way through the trees, his aunt following with him, her face betraying her internal battle with her emotions. There were pros and cons to this, her cub...her little baby boy would grow up somewhere far away, maybe he would even forget her...but he would be safe if something were to happen in the far north. She sighed, nudging Lezede with her nose to hurry him up, They were almost there.
Frostblade had his own thoughts, he had not expected Demersae to accept the proposition of the other pride. She had seemed almost eager, in her own odd way. But it had taken her awhile to choose who to bring with her, before finally settling on Lezede. From what he had heard, he looked most like her late mate.

LEZEDE FRIGUS - KANELI
Lezede voiced his content at the unneeded nudge. he was doing just fine on his own, really, he was. the dry ground beneath him was certainly a change, and he had to keep reminding himself to tuck his claws back in because there was little need here for extra grip, but it was a lot easier to move over. and he certainly wasn't sinking into it every few steps. it reminded him of the cool surface of the cave that was easily miles behind them now, except it wasn't as rough. or cold. it made it easier to weave between his mother's legs, even as she walked, and he'd occasionally scuttle ahead of his elder cousin to see where they were headed. so far Lez had seen little more than trees. and more trees. maybe the occasional pile of rocks or two, which he made sure to clamber atop of. these vantage points revealed little more to the small feline, but it was enough for him to continue to do so.
As far as the whole "betrothing" thing was concerned, he'd yet to catch on. the tension in the air was more than enough for him to catch a whiff of, though. something important was about to happen, he could tell that much. it pricked his pelt, as did the silence that hung over the trio. he didn't let on about it, instead he simply kept himself occupied.
"Are we there yet?" |

The land stretched out in a barren way before the treading paws of the beasts, but it wasn't an unfamiliar feeling. Besides of course the colder temperatures, thankfully they would not have to brave the worst of the North's frigid fingers. That did not mean it didn't try to tear at their morale as it pulled back the grey hairs on Narcis' visage, causing the female to swing head low as she tried to avoid the worst of the buffeting.
Can't be far, now. We are well within the Northern reaches. The hellion matriarch began to ascend a small sloping hill that had temporarily blocked their view of the valley which consisted of mostly plains. Thankfully it also blocked the worst of the wind, and as Narcis lifted her head she paused. There they are.
"We're here. I can smell Hanged and Trojan." The eyes of her father looked over the band, they looked weary but not weak, "I will speak. No one else unless I ask of you to do so." at the words they flashed dangerously, unspoken threats. Beast needn't deal with any objections now of all times, or slip ups. Turning on a dime without another word, head breached the top of the hill with a bob. Sights landing upon Frostblade's gang.

Arcana's shoulder brushed against her sister's hip as she kept in tight formation, Azura still hanging comfortably from her maw. She looked ahead as Narcis spoke and she caught whiffs of her older daughter and niece's scents on the breeze. Her nose crinkled at her Narcis' clear warning, but she understood. This was a chance to see if they could still do business with other prides and give her children a chance for a decent future. [/size][/div]

Azura Iden Faire The cub sat limply in her mother's jaws. She wasn't fond of being carried, but for this she'd make an exception. It seemed like they had left forever ago. She had no real sense of time yet but this was a long trip. Plus, Aunt Narcis scared her. She seemed so angry. "Mom... Why is Aunt Narcis so scarey? Is something wrong?" She whispered up to her mother. She felt an urgency in Narcis' words and it made the little cub worry. These lands were so different then her home. All of it.. so different. She was scared.

Altair II "Frostblade" Frigus
Frost lifted his head a bit as he spotted the other group, good they were here. He scented the air silently, making sure there were no hidden surprises. So far he only smelled the forest and the approaching group. He was not quite so excited to give his nephew to another pride, but Demersae had begged him to accept. And after Aquilonia's dispersal, new alliances could supply some assurance on both mental and physical levels.
"Greetings" he spoke, nodding as he stopped a respectful distance from the other group. "I am Altair Frigus the Second, this is my aunt Demersae Kaneli and my nephew Lezede Kaneli" he paused, giving the ma chance to acknowledge each other. "Demersae had agreed to let Lezede live within your pride through betrothal...but" the king scanned the faces of the Blitzkrieg hellions. "What would we be getting in return? If only one side prospered it would not be fair"

TAMESIS IDEN
[/i][/b] Tamesis finished his sentence slowly and then raised his head again. Not another word came from his mouth, and he prayed that his daughter would remain orderly as well. No doubt his mate would. They were a perfect family in that moment, even if the situation wasn't particularly to his specific liking. Tamesis listened intently to Altair Frigus, but gave each individual a good, hard look. He had to study them, judge their first appearances. Get as much information out of the situation as possible as long as it benefited his family. Though he didn't make this blatantly obvious; that would be downright rude. And potentially risky at such an important meeting. His eyes fell upon the young one Lezede, who was to come and live in Blitzkrieg as the betrothed to his daughter. Then his attention lifted back to Altair. A return? What could they possibly ask for, or get, in return? This was his daughter, damn it, and he wanted some bloody say in it. But Narcis's words rang in his ears and he remained silent.[/ul][/blockquote]
