DeSoto had been relaxing for most of the day. It had been rather pleasant thus far, a full belly and solitude kept him happy. The temperature was mild, thus his long fur was not making him overheat. But it was not destined to last. A voice uttering a few short words ended it all for him.
“So how fairs my dearest brother?”
The reaction was immediate. The hellion sprung up and got into an aggressive stance and bared his fangs. The beast before him was almost a mirror image. The pelt was a bit lighter, but that was not the most significant difference. The luminous red eye focused on him was most disturbing with how intense its gaze was. “Vladislav,” growled DeSoto.
“And vhat is it you go by these days?” Vlad had an amused expression upon his countenance.
“DeSoto Zupan. And vhy do you speak in this language, eh? Have you forgotten Slovenčina? Prečo ste tu?” He had not relaxed yet, not at all trusting of his brother.
“Of course not! I just came to see the family I have,” he hissed, eye flashing. The right eye was veiled by hair, but under the hair was an eyepatch, obviously hiding something. “The only family I have left.”
“Maybe if I did not know you better, you vould have my pity. But I am not inclined to give it to after you vent and made a deal vith a devil.” DeSoto’s golden eyes shown with something close to hatred. But this loathing emotion was different. It was the way one could only hate a family member. Enough to want to kill him. “The only reason you do not have more family is because of you!”
“Our parents vere veak.” DeSoto launched at him with that. His long claws were aimed for his brother’s shoulders. He planned to get a good hold and tear at the throat. But he never made it. Instead, he was swatted aside like a fly, thrown into the rocks. He coughed and blood landed on the grass. The male remained calm, realizing that he had just bitten his tongue. The waterfall was now much closer, the crashing water deafening, so he was not aware of his brother until he strode through the water. “You see? This is vhy they vere so veak. They vould never retaliate. But just like me, you have fight.”
“I am nothing like you,” he snarled, swiping at his brother’s legs. Luck was on his side and he grazed the flesh. For this, he was slammed back harder into the rock before he was tossed in the waterfall. He bore it without making very little noise, though the world spun about him now. “I really do hate you.”
“Because ve are so alike. You’ll learn soon enough.” Vladislav stood by his brother at the edge of the pool, making sure DeSoto’s head was out so he did not drown. “Ve are all each other has. You better get used to it.” The battered beast could do very little right now, as he was struggling to remain conscious.

The female had not long been traveling alone.
It was only a moon ago that her adoptive father had mysteriously vanished under her claws in the night, though not by her own doing. This beast knew nothing but instincts and loyalty branded deep into her cold heart, no feeling of such remorse or missing came from her focused orange optics as she walked away from his corpse with bloodstained paws many nights before. She only felt she had done him a swift justice, he had wanted her to unleash her claws onto him for so long...
It proved that she was free, disconnected from the toils of emotion that would interfere with her grotesque talents. She served, and served him well at that, the hellion felt nothing but pride surge through her veins though her exterior remained untouched by any sort of feeling.
As she walked now, marching as if on a deadly mission, she looked for either prey or dominance to find her. If there was anything the dark 'ess wanted it was to be serving to her greatest extent, exercising her talents to an audience of one would even be acceptable, so long as she pleased. She found not much luck, until a commotion started to appear in her hearing range. Ear's swiveling to pick it up, she slunk low to the ground flawlessly, flattening her golden wings to her body like a blanket, she hid away to watch what was happening now not too far from her.
Two males in what seemed to be a bitter argument, one that the male with the strange tongue was seemingly winning. She felt a need to press on but also one to stay. If nothing else, this will be entertaining.

Lady like paws stepped through the castle area, her paws moving alongside the icy road that split through the green grass. Rant wasn't fond of snow, or at least too much of it. It snowed constantly here, but it never built up high so she could enjoy her time here. Her mission was to find something to eat, she'd been having trouble seeing as luck wasn't on her side. She figured she could use some help, seeing as the prey was scarce and she had to find something to feed not only herself but her teenage daughter. Rant shook her pelt, slightly upset at the thought of her daughter going off into the world already. If their comfort at their last pride wasn't short lived they wouldn't be struggling.
Her ears perked at the distant sound of voices and she swirled her head round. Sneaking over to examine the scene, perhaps sneak some food of their plates. Instead, her eyes were met with two figures who looked quite similar. She watched as one strained to lift himself from the ground as the other simply watched. Her attention was peaked as she noted this males strength. He could prove useful. She laid down, her ears against her head as she watched curiously.

Voices. The sound of a heated discussion nearby. The Bolero's red orbs wandered. Searched for the source till they finally found what they were looking for. There were two hellions males near a pool of water. It looked like a fight. The Bolero sat down to observe, to listen. Why interfere just yet?

The twins remained silent for a while, if only because DeSoto was just beginning to recover. He finally found the dizziness had passed and the spots had cleared from his vision. Deliberately, he stood, cautious, as he did not want to fall and hit his head yet again. “Your greed…” he began, a bit out of breath. He staggered over to a tree and propped himself against it. “If you vere not so jealous, you vould never have had to make that deal. I offered it to you. I did not vant to live so long. But vhat choice did I have vhen you ran off and met that demon?” The hellion sounded as if he was in pain, but it was not physical. “You vould not have needed to collect the souls… There vas nothing I had vanted more than to see you happy. And nao, that cannot happen.”
Vladislav just laughed and paced around his brother. “You must be blind then, because I am quite happy. I have never been happier in my whole life.” He flicked his tail at his brother’s face, yanking it away very quickly as jaws met where the tail had been seconds ago. “You are a beast. Vill it always be like this?”
“That is up to you,” DeSoto replied rather coolly, though the hate in his eyes had not diminished at all. “Of course, taunting me is still dangerous. You may be stronger, but the day you become careless vill be your last. Just hope it is me who kills you. Because I vill show mercy.”
“If I have to die, I vish that it is your fangs that rip out my throat.” He was serious, too. There was a very tragic aura to the relationship between these two brothers.
“I just vish you vould stop. Maybe things could go back to how they vere. Vhen ve vere cubs. Vhen your joy did not come at the expense of others…” DeSoto sounded absolutely miserable.

The strength in this powerful male was admirable to Ixis, her tail waved over the ground silently in temptation to ease out of the bushes to meet these males- but she picked up others. The commotion they had stirred was attracting others by the minute, but none seemed to go beyond her will to stay hidden.
So she decided it, she better make the first move if she would make any. As a snake she slithered out of the bushes, her voice quiet but hummed on the edge of some tone, but mostly it was monotone. No revealing anything she may have had in mind, that was a lesson she had learned, even if there be nothing. "My my, aren't you two attracting some attention with all this brotherly tension. You didn't even realize you had an audience did you?"

Larua
The female had been keeping herself hidden for now, over the course of the little hissy fit the two males were having at each other, more and more strangers were arriving. The first to show themselves was a female, a pure Hellion much like herself and the males. The forest colored creature decided to show herself as well, now that the ice was broken. She fairly slithered from her hiding place, movements cautious but smooth, like a snake deciding whether or not to strike.
"I would suppose they didn't" she purred in response to the other female "It would make sense though, seeing as we were all hidden" Larua's voice had an odd lyrical touch to it, as if she were reciting poetry. "Talk of demons and speeches on immortality, and it would seem between you there is some informality" an impish grin tugged at one side of her mouth. "It is a shame when siblings fight, but it seems for now all is alright"

Two females stepped out, and Rant followed. "An audience of females it seems." Rant said as she entered, "Ladies.." she greeted, nodding her head at them. It was always good manners to greet females first, or at least that's what she thought. She turned to look at the males, "Mmm..Yes, all this talk of immortality is making the hairs on my spine rise." she said turning to look at her bright blue markings.

When the observers began to appear from the shrubs, DeSoto’s expression only soured. The long fur on his body rose, indicating his hostility. Was it entirely impossible to have a private discussion these days? Black lips pealed back from long, ivory fangs. Out of the two, the darker beast seemed less friendly an most likely to attack. But he did not appear to have any hidden intentions. No longer seeming beaten and battered, he stood and lowered his head, like a wolf about to attack. But a long tail smacked his side, which was then swiped at by long black claws. “Ve have ladies present, foul manners ill become you.” This only elicited yet another growl from his brother. “This charming male is my tvin, DeSoto Zupan. And I am Vladislav Zupan. It is a pleasure to make the acquaintance of such a lovely host of females, all hellions, no less.” The Slovak sounded absolutely delighted.
“As alvays, a flatterer,” the dark one grunted. He relaxed slightly, but his expression remained ever unpleasant. “Vhat exactly does it matter to you that they are?” He was implying something else in that question, but only his brother would understand that. “So vhy vere you spying?” he demanded, turning on the females, his golden eyes more than luminous. “Who are you?” His claws were unsheathed, showing that any aggression would have been taken from a challenge, and it already showed that this beast would not back down from a challenge. The feather on his shoulder blades ruffled, where wings might have been. Maybe he had had them, maybe not. Vladislav’s shoulder’s matched, though there were prominent stumps where his were, showing that he had indeed once had wings.

The appearance of other females almost angered her, but their chipping into her taunting tone seemed to allow her to play along. Tail ticking, she raised an eyebrow as the tussling brothers finally noticed them standing around, she cast a look to the other females around.
"Since you gave me your name, Ixis." She said to the male who seemed more... charming. It was very apparent he was ready for battle at any moment, and would not be easily tricked. Smirking, her eyes made to be as taunting as her lips, and she gave a look of admiration to the male who proposed with his body that he would refuse to back down. "Don't worry, I don't plan on challenging a male such as you, you don't have to start flexing your muscles at me."

Rant quirked a brow as one of them became rather hostile, it reminded her of a frightened cub. "Charmed." she said to the male's. Her eyes followed the voice of the reddish female. "Rant. Rant Caravelle." she nodded after her, "Although you appear to be hostile, I can't say you're actually intimidating." she laughed, lifting a paw as if it was the most hilarious thing she'd seen all day. She couldn't exactly tell him to relax in the presence of strangers, much less three Hellion females, but he should calm his tits.

The brute decided to make his presence known and rose up to join the party. "Ah sibling squabble" he said as an opening comment to join the dialogue between the many hellions. "It is indeed a shame. Siblings should stick together" he muttered, his words reminded him of his own two siblings whom appeared to have vanished. Pity. "My my, where are my manners." his eyes switched from the brothers and over to the ladies. "My name is Brann. Brann Bolero".

The number had grown to four onlookers. DeSoto and Vladislav were both a bit surprised as the fourth hellion appeared. They exchanged looks. Despite their animosity, they would stay together when a threat appeared. And neither one wanted each other to be killed by some stranger. In their minds, death was a family matter. “Ixis, Rant, and Brann,” Vladislav repeated. “Then… It is apparent that DeSoto and I are the only vons vith relations? I assume none of you know other.” He tilted his head curiously. His brother just grunted and glared at the gray female. “Soto,” he murmured, causing his brother to snarl and turn to stand beside him, though there were a few feet separating them. “I am afraid you may have hit a nerve with my brother, Rant. I think it is because—…”
He was cut off by DeSoto. “I can speak for myself, ya?” he grunted. “But being compared to you is not very good. It makes me veak.” He heaved and wrinkled his muzzle, tail brushing against his brother’s. “Ve can be togezah vhen situation demands.” His accent was thicker than Vladislav’s and his English was not quite as good. It was one of his weaker languages. He knew a few due to his many years, but they were mostly harsh tongue of northerners, not like the cultured areas his brother preferred to stay in.
“So vhat caused you all to vatch us?”

The hellion 'ess crossed her paws in a dainty like way, looking in surprise as a male appeared, but setting her lookers towards the two other males once again. "Oh, simply curiosity." She said with a grin, tail waving to and fro as the thickly accented one reacted the way he did. "Now look, I myself just wanna make... Friends. I can't speak for these others though." As she looked around to the other females and one singular viewing male, her grin faded only slightly.
