The wind-chill easily dropped the temperature below freezing, little could be seen in the white out caused by the blizzard Night had fallen an hour or two ago, and visibility was reduced to a mere two meters. This was not a problem for the thick furred beast who was currently roaming the lands. The outside had spent a great deal of time sneaking about the outskirts of the territory of the group that lived here. He still was not quite sure what his brother’s interest with this group was, but he was pretty sure it was due to some vendetta against an individual. If these were the beasts his brother was bent on destroying, then he would join them and oppose him. There was yet to be a plan made, but he did not have enough data to go on just yet.
DeSoto straightened his stance and relaxed his body. They would only perceive tension as aggression, right? That was how he would take it. He did not want to make potential allies wary of him. While the inhabitants of this land had not seemed cruel or dangerous from a distance, caution was always necessary. He had lived a rather harsh life so far, treating everyone as a threat. Tonight, he was to change. He bounded out, navigating the barely visible terrain well for one who did not live here. He enjoyed the temperature, and he was sure there were herbs out here that were rare and valuable. His benefactor would like that. Right now, he was trying to get to the area where most of them gathered. He stood in the middle, where there appeared to be a few dens, close to the giant cavern on the hill. Perhaps night was not a good time to approach them. Would it be too suspicious?

She was sure he wouldn't have too much of a problem with her being with the rest of the Frigore's but she didn't enjoy seeing the white female. She had her head on her forelegs, staring out into the distance where she could easily see the other caves. Tequila stood up as she heard another female's voice, it was odd for others to wander this late considering how low the temperatures dropped. She slunk around the sides of the cave and peered out.
In the distance she could see a figure, one that was not of Aquilonia. She felt her heart race, this would be her first encounter with one not of the pride. Excited, she stepped out. The glow of the fire that warmed the caves radiating from her pelt. She kept herself standing high, not hostile but showing that she wouldn't be pushed over. "You're on the lands of the Aquilonia pride." her tailed lashed behind her, the excitement swelling up, but she kept her cool as to not look like the child she outgrew "Speak your business." DeSoto was pleased to see others had left the cave to come and greet him. It was not like he appeared to be an ally, but the lack of hostility helped him to relax. He sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. He did not appear young, only due to the multitude of scars that coated him. He was missing most of his right ear and there were feathers on his shoulder blades where wings had once been. A smile could not be brought from the male, such a thing almost forbidden in his life. That was, until Vladislav had been stopped. As the pair of females approached, his mostly unharmed left hear perked forward. “Hello,” he said, Slovak accent ever prominent. “I am DeSoto Zupan.” He got up and came a bit closer. “I have been observing zis group for a vhile. I vould like to join vis Aquilonia. If you could take me to you king of queen, it vould be appreciated.”

JARED ALCES & J ENCIN HARIS x & x The Hellion hissed grumpily, ears pinned back slightly and body bobbing with each step as his paws sunk into the snowy ground. the very way he moved, each stride dramatized and heavy, suggested a strong distate for his surroundings. after all, it hadn't been his idea to come here. oh no, he would never suggest an evening stroll in a friggin frozen wasteland. and now that it was way past sun-down, they were lost. he suspected his companion to be somewhere further ahead, treading happily into unknown territories. that's definitely something the stupid sasquatch would do. maybe he liked it here. maybe he suspected he'd find one of his relatives here, somone who he didn't tower over for a change. bigfoot roamed the mountains, right?
"C'mon, Mr. Grumpyface. Maybe if you didn't walk like you wanted to crush the snow under your feet we'd have made some progress." came the teasing voice, obviously from the larger and thicker-furred of the two. he wasn't too far ahead, but Jencin made a point to shout. "Maybe if you hadn't brought us here I would be in a better mood." he hissed, to which the only response came a lighthearted laugh. shaking his head, Jencin made an effort to step lighter and bounded after his friend, only sinking into the terrain once or twice. it threw him off balance, and perhaps if he were less coordinated he would've gone flying. fortunately, he wasn't the clumsy one here. they trudged on in the darkness for a few minutes more, Jencin trailing by only a few steps due to the lack of visibility.
"I hope you at least realize we're lo--shit!" Jared froze momentarily and suddenly turned back, nearly knocking his slightly smaller friend over. Jencin's brows raised and he immediately skidded back in surprise, hindlegs buckling him very briefly into an almost sitting position. "Goddamnit Jared!" the bigger male flailed, hopping up a bit before hesitanly rushing forward to shove a paw over Jencin's muzzle. with a quiet growl the shushed Hellion smacked the large paw away, which only sent Jared into another alarmed little hop. "Don't tell me you gotta pee or something." Jencin's brow furrowed, before the left lifted to the quizical expression he found himself wearing often around Jared. a small whiny hiss from the back of Jared's throat before he hushedly said, "There's people here."
