Gamble Choiseul - Xeiroz A vast blue world spread out before him, a limitless blue that appeared untouched by anything with a foul nature. It was pure. Far too pure for someone like him. The scenery around him started to fall apart and a single hole seemed to widen before him to reveal an obscure world beneath the beautiful blue before him. He felt ill intent oozing out of the black abyss, which caused him to take a step back. That seemed to cause a chain reaction and the opening became wider and wider until it engulfed him, too. Darkness. Only darkness surrounded him, enclosed him into a tight space and forcing him to stay there. His breathing became heavy and irregular, he could practically hear the erratic beating of his heart inside his eardrums. Something's wrong. Something is very, very wrong. He thought. Just when he didn't think that it could possibly get any worse, suddenly it was as if he was sealed up in an air-tight space. He tried to breathe, but ended up coughing, which shook him violently. He was suffocating. No! No, I don't want to die yet! I don't want to leave! Gamble rolled over onto his stomach, breathing heavily and feeling quite a bit warmer than what he figured to be the average temperature. "That damn dream again.." He sighed, "This must be a sign that I need to stop sleeping in tight spaces." At least, that is what he imagined to be causing his aberrant dreams, or perhaps he should start calling them nightmares instead? It was not as if they held a pleasantness for a long time and nightmares did tend to trick you with pretty scenery right before everything turns to shit. At that time, his stomach decided to eloquently notify him that he was hungry. "That must be my cue to get out of here and find some dinner." He stretched his long, slender legs and then strode out of the cramped cave. Saying it was 'cramped' might just be an overstatement, but at this moment he wasn't too worried about the details. He just wanted some food in his belly before the cramps and agonizing hunger pains started up. A nice breeze caressed him as he stepped out into the evening and he immediately stuck his nose in the air and took in a deep breath. There seemed to be quite a lot roaming about that night, more than he had initially expected. He could definitely smell that the hares were somewhere nearby, but he wanted more of a challenge today. Today, he was going to go for the antelope. Somehow, just thinking about running after them and putting all of his strength to the test had him a little excited. He may have a little bit of adrenaline going, too, just at the thought of those long, sharp horns of theirs. After a moment of some needed daydreaming and drool, he started after the antelope's trail. They didn't always move around a lot, but when they did the antelope were always faster than himself. He couldn't just go out and snag an antelope the conventional way, instead he would need to surprise them. Words: 532 Comments: I welcome anybody and everybody!
